Hotel Galvez has extended its ghost tour, typically reserved for guests, to the public on Thursdays beginning on Oct. 8 and continuing through Oct. 29. The tour lasts approximately one hour and begins at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for the tour are $10 per person and available in the hotel’s gift shop. Visitors should present their tickets at the concierge desk. Ticket holders will also receive a 20 percent discount at Bernardo’s Restaurant at Hotel Galvez.
Tour participants will join Hotel Concierge Jackie Hasan who will lead a tour using an electromagnetic field detector and infrared thermometer to conduct a paranormal investigation in the 98-year-old beachfront hotel. “Over the years, guests have reported seeing or feeling a presence in some parts of the hotel primarily on the fifth floor,” says Hasan.
Recently, the hotel was the site of an investigation by The Discovery Channel’s Ghost Lab program to air in the fall.
