Puppet and Marionette Shows to Add to Family Fun during Hotel Galvez Centennial Celebration

Harms became enchanted with marionettes at age 9. The Peoria, IL native described his early years in the Midwest as being conducive to the development of his craft. His early passion for marionette theater came to the forefront in 1970 when he became acquainted with the various methods of puppet construction around the world.

 

Woods, a professional storyteller who represents the Texas Commission on the Arts, presents stories through puppetry. He fractured fairy tales, folk tales and classic stories are enhanced through the incorporation of puppets and music. Woods, a retired teacher, is associated with East Texas Storytellers and Tejas Storytelling Association.

 

 

Nitsana has enthralled and entertained thousands of children since she began performing puppet shows in 1983. She offers a variety of shows, each of them fun, with underlying themes about values and life lessons. Nitsana performs for all ages and has worked with many schools in the greater Houston area using curriculum-based material for her performances.
