Harbor House
Harbor House is the only Galveston hotel that overlooks the historic wharf and is the site of an early Galveston Steamship Terminal. The 42-room hotel, including three one-bedroom suites, hugs the Galveston Harbor. Guestrooms are spacious and many include refrigerators and microwaves. Harbor House is located at Pier 21 which is home to several restaurants, attractions and within walking distance of The Strand National Historic Landmark District.

Texas cruisers will soon celebrate the most dramatic fleet expansion ever at the Port of Galveston. During the next 16 months, five massive ships are relocating to the island. The 2,758-passenger Carnival Triumph replaced the older Carnival Ecstasy this month on four- and five-night cruises to Mexico. Royal Caribbean's 3,114-passenger Mariner of the Seas arrives Nov. 11 and the 3,690-passenger Carnival Magic debuts Nov. 14. Both Carnival vessels will operate year-round from Galveston. The Mariner of the Seas is committed for the next two winter seasons.
