Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches is opening a location in downtown Galveston. A Jimmy John’s franchise will lease property from Mitchell Historic Properties (MHP) at 102 22nd Street near Harborside Drive and adjacent to Starbucks. MHP has agreed to build a 1,600 sq. ft. shop in a portion of the parking lot.
Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-March and should be completed by late this summer. Jimmy John’s is one of six new tenants who have signed leases with Mitchell Historic Properties over the last eight months. New retail tenants include The Jewel Garden, Haunted Mayfield Manor, Downtown Blooms, Pirates! Legends of the Gulf Coast and the Galveston Chamber of Commerce.
“It’s exciting for Galveston to offer another casual dining option for our visitors, residents and workforce,” says Bill Ross, senior vice president and general manager of Mitchell Historic Properties. “This location is convenient for people who work at UTMB, students at Texas A&M University at Galveston and cruise passengers and employees.”
