Movie Nite on The Strand Offers Free Fun on a Saturday Night

GALVESTON ISLAND, Texas (May 18, 2009) – “Movie Nite on The Strand” continues at Saengerfest Park, 23rd and Strand, with Raiders of the Lost Art on June 6. Movies are scheduled on the first Saturday of the month through November and begin shortly after dusk. Raiders of the Lost Ark stars Harrison Ford and Karen Allen and was directed by Steven Speilberg. Archeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones, portrayed by Ford, is hired by the US government to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis. Movie goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, a blanket and relax at this unique outdoor movie venue.
