Acclaimed Latin Rock band Del Castillo will perform at Party on the Pier at Pier 21 on Sat., July 20, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Acclaimed Texas blues musician Carolyn Wonderland will perform at Party on the Pier on Sat., June 15, 2013.

In celebration of the 102nd anniversary of the historic Hotel Galvez & Spa, a Wyndham Grand® Hotel, and in conjunction with one of the most popular month for weddings, couples are invited to renew their wedding vows during a June Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony. The ceremony will be officiated by Justice of the Peace Jim Schweitzer on Saturday, June 8 at 10 a.m. on the hotel grounds.

Work has begun on renovations to the lobby, bar and restaurant of the Hotel Galvez & Spa, A Wyndham Grand® Hotel. The hotel’s historic bar and restaurant will be renamed the Galvez Bar & Grill and will boast a new look and menu for guests. Renovations are expected to take approximately two months.

The Galveston County Museum is requesting one-of-a-kind items related to the historic Hotel Galvez & Spa, A Wyndham Grand® Hotel, as well as items from Old Galveston Club to display in the hotel’s popular Hall of History. The hotel’s current bar was originally located in Old Galveston Club, formerly located at 2019 Market, which was touted as Galveston’s last speakeasy.

Featuring live music monthly from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the third Saturday from March through October, Party on the Pier is Galveston’s newest family friendly event and live music scene.
