Frank Kastelz is the new hotel manager of The Tremont House, A Wyndham Grand® Hotel. Additionally, he is the complex food and beverage director for Hotel Galvez & Spa® and The Tremont House, both Wyndham Grand® Hotels. He returns home to Galveston after spending more than six years in various hotel management positions in San Diego, Kauai, and most recently, served as general manager of the Wyndham Santa Monica at the Pier.
In his role as hotel manager of The Tremont House he is responsible for the day to day operations of the hotel and as complex food and beverage director he oversees the culinary departments, banquet departments, restaurants, room service and bars at both Hotel Galvez and The Tremont House. Kastelz is part of the Wyndham Galveston senior management team under the leadership of Complex General Manager Marty Miles.
He has worked as director of operations for Wyndham San Diego Bayside and Omni San Diego Hotel as well as a task force general manager and task force specialist. In these roles, he stepped in as interim to oversee hotels in transition to implement change and achieve goals at the properties.
During his time in Galveston, he worked as director of conference services at the San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center and area director of catering and food and beverage manager for Wyndham in Galveston. Later he was guest services manager for The Tremont House.

Kastlez has a bachelor’s of science in Business Administration from Kaplan University, is a U.S. NAVY veteran and a graduate of Ball High School. He and his wife Becky live in Galveston with their dog, Wylie.
